Holiday Prep

I don't know about you, but I started my holiday shopping around April of this year. I know, I'm neurotic like that. I literally need a closet in my new house dedicated to gifts because I buy so many.

With the holidays approaching, I'd love for my little shop to beenfit. I'm thinking of offering some gift packages for the holiday season in my shop.

I recently placed an order for gift certificates, which I think will be a great holiday item for giving, but I'm trying to brainstorm some other ideas.

I'm thinking of offering suites - in much the way I already do for brides to give to their bridesmaids - for a group of friends so that a shopper can come to my shop and buy five pairs of studs for five friends.

I suppose another way would be to offer "Buy two or more, get $x off" but I'm not too keen on that idea. I'd rather my shop not have "SALE" plastered all over it. Something about that makes me feel not good. Granted, I love a sale, but I think I respect the shops with no sales more. Strange, I know.

Have any other good tips for preparing a shop for the holiday season? What lures you in?

In other news, J and I moved in to our new house last Sunday (!). It's been a week of finishing the small details that we didn't have a chance to finish before we moved, such as sanding and painting some of the spots near the new base trim that we added.

Hopefully this weekend we'll get the doors on and finally be ready to unpack!

Happy weekend!
