It's week four at the new job, and I'm not impressed. That, combined with very little access to a computer with internet while at work, and the blog has been suffering.
I'm a chronic list maker. So as I sit at work, bored, unable to stare at the internet all day as I'm used to doing, I think of things I should do when I get home and start a list. Then I'll put the list away. Then I'll pull it back out because I think of something to ad to it. And the process repeats.
This habit results in my purse bursting with quarter-page sized notes threatening to overtake my downtime. When Iget home, I dutifully work through the items on my lists - and, of course, slash through them with ink as I go.
Let me pause for a moment as I add this to my most recent:
{} write a blog post
That feels better.
The past few weeks that I've been absent from the blog haven't been too interesting. I've spent time with friends and family, worked on some projects around the house, watched a lot of Lost, and purchased a wedding dress.
That's right. I found one! It's beautiful! And while I don't believe in the bogus fairytale that there's "only one" perfect dress, I am very very happy with the one I chose.
I won't go into too much detail as I don't want J to read about it, but I will say that I wish the four months (!) it'll take to arrive at the boutique would just hurry up already.
The dress is the. only. thing we have planned so far, despite many inquiries from family and friends. And I'm feeling the pressure. We'll keep you posted, people!
But then I remember the beauty of the dress and how it makes me feel and realize that it's the pretty things, not the plans, that really matter at this stage.
And your questions are quite welcome - I just feel deficient for not having answers!
