Ring to My Heart

This is why I love etsy.

A newly engaged woman found me there and requested a custom listing for four of the following rings:

Since my description boasts a blank message slip arriving with your ring - I was thinking it could be used for a love note from your boyfriend, a silly saying from a friend, or even a reminder to yourself - the bride-to-be thought it'd be a great gift for and method through which to ask her bridesmaids-to-be. So cute!

I actually stole the idea myself from 100 Layer Cake, which is what inspired this ring. You could do it with other vessels, as well - like a locket necklace, a jewelry box, a book safe, or another compartmenty item.

I hope to use the idea if I get engaged, as well. Now erase that from your minds, D, Y, and R, like a scene from Men In Black.*

PS: Holy crap. Did you realize Men In Black is from 1997? That makes me feel old. A silly story: all my bffs in middle school - including boys - did a choreographed dance to the song for the 7th grade talent show. We rehearsed incessantly over spring break. There were cartwheels involved. It was awesome.

*Shhhhhuger water.
